Tree Research

Tree Hazard and Risk Assesment

Tree Research is able to provide a comprehensive tree hazard assessment that will aid the landowner in the ongoing management of their tree population to reduce the risk of damage or injury occurring and to satisfy their legal requirements.

Tree populations can be mapped and then zoned according to the level of risk and prescribed remedial tree works phased accordingly.

All survey information gathered can then be stored in a management database enabling efficient report generation and easy updating of data following re-inspection or remedial works.

To limit landowners' liability Tree Research can carry out the following:

  • Preparation of a Tree Safety Policy
  • Conduct Tree Hazard Assessment Survey
  • Implement a Tree Management System
  • Carry out internal decay detection tests on hazardous trees
  • Specify and manage tree work contracts

Under the occupiers liability Act 1957 Landowners have a legal duty of care to protect people from any potential danger posed by their trees. To meet these requirements the landowner must take reasonable care to identify any foreseeable danger and take appropriate steps to remove the likelihood of the hazard occurring.
