Topiary & Pruning Specialist

Jake Hobson is one of the country’s leading topiary and pruning specialists.  Influenced by his time in Japan, and his creative background. (Jake studied sculpture at the Slade in London) Jake is interested in what he calls organic Topiary, combining traditional European topiary with Japanese Niwaki pruning and contemporary cloud pruning.  He’s as happy up a ladder pruning a pine tree as he is at the drawing board, and consults and lectures around the world.

Hannah Gardner

Garden Designer

Hannah is a garden designer whose passion for plants inspired her to study plant communities worldwide.  She trained at Kew and gained experience at Sissinghurst Castle and Great Dixter.  She seeks to create timeless landscapes that are designed to be functional, uplifting and sustainable.

Her strength is designing naturalistic schemes inspired by natural and semi natural landscapes, with the aim of increasing the ecological diversity of the landscape in which she works

John Whitton

Landscape Architect

John is a landscape architect with many years experience, driven by a passion for landscape and garden design.  His strength lies in identifying the essential character and potential of each site.  He has worked on a wide variety of landscape projects and has considerable experience of historically and architecturally sensitive projects.

Chris Enderby

Landscape Planning, Design & Management

Chris has over 30 years’ experience in the UK and overseas and provides landscape and environmental planning, landscape design and management services.

His work covers a wide spectrum including residential, commercial and leisure developments as well as renewable energy projects, many of which involve landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA).

Chris believes that, to achieve successful projects, it is essential that the design process is informed at the outset by a clear understanding of the landscape and visual context and characteristics of each site; such work assists with the development of sympathetic, appropriate design solutions and enhances the chances of achieving planning consent.

Chris also has extensive experience of Public Inquiries and Planning Appeals.

Stuart Roberts

Arboricultural Consultant

Stuart has 20 years arboricultural experience in the private sector, the first 10 years of which were spent as a tree surgeon and contracts manager, where he gained extensive industry experience before specialising as an arboricultural consultant over the last 10 years.

He has extensive experience dealing with Local Authority Tree Officers, Building Contractors, Utility Companies and Tree Work Contractors.  We pride ourselves on being able to speak everyone’s language and work as part of a multi-discipline team in order to achieve a common goal.

We specialise in providing tree surveys and advice to a range of clients including Architects, landowners, Solicitors and Local Authorities.
