Job Title: Experienced Gardener (Horticulture)

 

Reporting to: Project Supervisor

Hours: 40 hours a week (require flexibility in hours)

 Salary: £23K, plus Company van, mobile phone and relevant tools

 About us:

We are a family run business that is looking for an experienced gardener to help provide a high-quality Maintenance Service for an exclusive client base of private and commercial buildings in the Central London area.

Applicants must be responsible and trustworthy with good previous experience and a practical knowledge of horticulture maintenance.

 The Role

·      Maintenance of indoor and outdoor plants, trees and shrubs, including pruning, watering, feeding, pest control and irrigation
checking

·      This is stand-alone role where you will use your own initiative to deal with the seasonal pressures of the role.

·      Providing ongoing updates and reports regarding the condition of the plants, shrubs and trees to Project Supervisor.

 Essential

  • At least 3 years practical experience in landscape gardening

  • Good communication skills and confidentiality is a must

  • Must be punctual and well presented.

  • Applicants should have a good eye for attention to detail

  • A good knowledge of plants, pruning, pest and disease identification and treatment

  • Relevant qualification in Horticulture, Landscaping or Arboriculture

  • Be willing to work flexibly in accordance with the needs of the Company.

  • Full EU/UK Driving license

Desirable

  • Experience of dealing with customers

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Any of the following driving license categories: BE, C1, C & C1E

  • CSCS Card

  • Plant and tree knowledge including Latin names and species soil requirements
